Shortly rhizomatous, tufted perennial, grass-like or herb, 0.07-0.155 m high, leaves flat. Fl. cream-yellow, Jun to Sep. White or yellow sand. Winter-wet flats.

Scientific Description

Leaves flat, 50-130 mm long, 0.8-1 mm wide; bristles or hairs on the leaf margin present, 0.8-1 mm long, with at least some small side branches at the base, flexuose and soft, angled towards the leaf apex; hairs on the surface of the leaf present. Scape present, hairy, 30-150 mm long. Inflorescence subtended by a bract 16-18 mm long, with several flowers; floral bracts 5-6 mm long; pedicels present, 1-1.5 mm long; flowers 7-13 mm long. Perianth hairy, radially symmetrical, uniformly coloured, yellow, with six more or less equal tepals, the inner segments 6-7 mm long. Stamens six, in one level; filaments 0.5-1 mm long; anther 3.5-4 mm long, without an appendage. Style 7-9 mm long. Flowers in June, July, August or September. Occurs in the Geraldton Sandplains and Avon Wheatbelt IBRA bioregion(s), of the South-west Botanical Province.
