Erect shrub, 0.3-2 m high. Fl. pink, May or Jul to Nov. Lateritic gravelly soils.
Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves opposite, simple, 5-8 mm long, 3-4 mm wide, flat, the margins flat, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers; pedicels 5-9 mm long; calyx present, 2-3 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped); corolla pink, petals four, 5.5-8 mm long, valvate (not overlapping), free, hairy on the surfaces; stamens twice as many as petals. Flowers in May, July, August, September, October and November. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Esperance IBRA region(s).
