Shrub or tree (occasionally), 1-5 m high, leaves generally over 30 mm long. Fl. red/red-orange, Mar to Apr or Jul or Sep to Dec. Sand. Coastal sandhills, granite outcrops.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1.3-3 m high. Leaves alternate, 15-40 mm long, glabrous; lamina terete, once divided or twice or more divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib, with glands at the leaf (or leaf lobe) apex. Inflorescences red or pink; innermost bracts 4-5 mm long; peduncles 3-4 mm long. Perianth 25-27 mm long, hairy; ovary glabrous; pistil 34-37 mm long, pollen presenter erect, style glabrous. Flowers in March, April, July, August, September, October, November or December. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Jarrah Forest (JF), Warren (WAR) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
