Erect shrub, 0.5-3 m high. Fl. pink/red, Aug to Nov. White/grey or pink sand, rocky soils, gypsum. Sand dunes, hillsides.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-3 m high. Leaves alternate, 20-35 mm long, 1-1.3 mm wide, hairy; lamina terete, more or less the same width throughout, once divided, tripartitely divided, divided to the midrib, with glands on the surface of the leaf blade. Inflorescences red; innermost bracts 3-5 mm long; peduncles 5-7 mm long. Perianth 21-24 mm long, glabrous or hairy; ovary glabrous; pistil 30-35 mm long, pollen presenter erect, style hairy or glabrous. Flowers in August, September, October or November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Threatened (T).
