Prostrate annual, herb. Fl. yellow, Mar to Jun. Sandy soils. Seepage areas, sandstone hills.
Scientific Description
Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 10-50 mm long, 5-17 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, glandular hairs; margins toothed. Bracteoles present, 1-2 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 1.5-2 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 1.5-2.5 mm long, hairy, with sparse, simple hairs. Corolla yellow, 9-12 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 1.5-3.5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 2.5-5.5 mm long, wing present on one side only, 0-0.5 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 3.4-4.5 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in March, April, May and June. Occurs in the Northern Kimberly (NK) and Central Kimberly (CK) IBRA Region(s), of the Northern (N) Botanical Province.
