Open, erect shrub, 0.5-2.5 m high. Fl. yellow, Apr to Nov. Coarse grey sand or brown-black loam over granite. Granite outcrops.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1.5-2 m high; branchlets hairy, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 20-60 mm long, 6-12 mm wide, hairy, on the abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina flat, clearly widest below the middle or widest around the middle, entire, the margins flat. Inflorescences axillary or terminal, yellow; pedicels 3-6 mm long. Perianth 5-7 mm long; tepals some joined and some free after flower opens, hairy, simple-hairy; ovary hairy, sessile or stipitate, the stipe 0-0.5 mm long; pistil 5-7 mm long, yellow, pollen presenter lateral, style hairy. Follicles hairy, not viscid, dehiscent, 17 mm long. Flowers in May, June, July, August, September, October, November or December. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Jarrah Forest (JF) or Warren (WAR) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Threatened (T).
