Erect or spreading shrub, 0.15-0.5 m high. Fl. yellow-orange, Apr to Nov. Lateritic loam or sand. Granite outcrops.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets glabrous, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 10-30 mm long, 2-10 mm wide, hairy, on the adaxial or abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle or more or less the same width throughout, entire, the margins flat. Inflorescences terminal, yellow or orange; pedicels 2-3 mm long. Perianth 5-7 mm long; tepals some joined and some free after flower opens, hairy, simple-hairy; ovary hairy, stipitate, the stipe 0.5-1 mm long; pistil 5-7 mm long, red, pollen presenter lateral, style glabrous. Follicles hairy, not viscid, dehiscent, 8-12 mm long. Flowers in June, July, August, September, October or November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Jarrah Forest (JF) or Warren (WAR) IBRA subregion(s).
