Erect or spreading shrub, 0.1-0.6 m high. Fl. yellow, Oct to Dec. Sand, sandy clay.
Scientific Description
Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, alternate, not continuous with stem, 4.5-20 mm long, 2-3 mm wide, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent; pustules or glands absent. Pedicel present, 3.5-5 mm long, hairy. Bracteoles present and persistent or present but early deciduous, 2-4 mm long, hairy, not striate. Calyx 7-10 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 10-12 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 10-10.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 8.5-10 mm long, not auriculate, keel 8.5-10 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 1.2-1.6 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments free (or united at the very base), 4.8-8 mm long. Ovary stipitate, hairy or glandular; style 8-9.5 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), stipitate, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, not beaked. Flowers in October, November and December. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Avon Wheatbelt, Jarrah Forest, Esperance and Swan Coastal Plain IBRA regions. Conservation Code Priority Three (P3).
