Perennial, herb or shrub, 0.15-1 m high. Fl. blue-white, Aug to Nov. Sandy or clayey soils, loam. Sandplains, creek beds.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 3-20 mm long, 0.5-1.5 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire. Bracteoles present, 5-7 mm long, glabrous. Pedicel absent (flowers sessile). Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 3-4 mm long, glabrous. Corolla blue, 4.5-7 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, glabrous on the outside, hairy on the inside, 0.3-0.7 mm wide, 0.3-0.4 mm wide on the narrower side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 3.5-6 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules one or two. Flowers in August, September, October and November. Occurs in the Coolgardie (COO), Mallee (MAL) and Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) and South West (SW) Botanical Province.
