Ascending to decumbent perennial, herb or shrub, 0.1-0.6 m high, leaves oblong-elliptic, elliptic or cuneate. Fl. blue, Jul to Nov. Lateritic or granitic soils. Granite outcrops & hills.

Scientific Description

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 15-35 mm long, 5-25 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, dendritic hairs; margins entire or toothed. Bracteoles present, 2-3 mm long, hairy, with hairy hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 1.5-3.5 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with glandular hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 0-0.5 mm long, hairy, with dense, dendritic hairs. Corolla blue, 12-13 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, dendritic hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 5-6 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 6.5-9 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.8-1.2 mm wide on the narrower side, 2.4-3 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers connate. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 3-3.5 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, glabrous; ovules one or two. Flowers in July, August, September, October and November. Occurs in the Coolgardie (COO), Geraldton Sandplains (GS) and Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) and South West (SW) Botanical Province.
