Wiry shrub, 0.1-0.4 m high, corolla hairs pale grey. Fl. blue, Aug to Nov. Sandy, sometimes gravelly soils. Plains.
Scientific Description
Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 7-17 mm long, 2-5 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire. Bracteoles present, 1.5-2 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 1.5-5 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes absent. Corolla blue, 9-12 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, dendritic hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 5.5-7 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 5 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 1-1.2 mm wide on the narrower side, 2-3 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers connate. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 2-3 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, glabrous; ovules one or two. Flowers in August, September, October and November. Occurs in the Yalgoo (YAL), Murchison (MUR), Coolgardie (COO), Avon Wheatbelt (AW) and Mallee (MAL) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) and South West (SW) Botanical Province.
