Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 10-80 mm long, 5-12 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, glandular hairs; margins toothed. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 5-8 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 9-10.5 mm long, hairy, with sparse, simple hairs. Corolla yellow, 20-23 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 6-8 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 10-12 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 1.7-2.5 mm wide on the narrower side, 2.2-3 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 9-10 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the Pilbara (PIL), Great Sandy Desert (GSD), Dampier land (DL), Ord-Victoria Plains (OVP), Victoria Bonaparte (VB), Northern Kimberly (NK) and Central Kimberly (CK) IBRA Region(s), of the Northern (N) and Eremaean (E) Botanical Province.
