Ascending annual, herb, 0.01-0.1(-0.25) m high. Fl. yellow, Oct to Dec or Jan. Peaty sand, sandy loam. Swamps, seepage areas.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 8-40 mm long, 2-7 mm wide, Indumentum present, with sparse, absent hairs; margins entire, toothed or lobed. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 8-17 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with absent hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 2-2.5 mm long, hairy, with sparse, simple hairs. Corolla yellow, 10-14 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, glandular hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 3.7-5.5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 6-6.5 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 1.4-1.5 mm wide on the narrower side, 1.5-1.8 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 5-5.5 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in January, October, November and December. Occurs in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Jarrah Forest (JF), Warren (WAR) and Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province.
