Ascending to prostrate perennial, herb, 0.035-0.3 m high. Fl. blue-purple, Aug to Dec. Sand. Sandplains.

Scientific Description

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 15-50 mm long, 5-12 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, simple hairs; margins entire or toothed. Bracteoles present, 20-25 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 40-45 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 3.5-7 mm long, hairy, with dense, simple hairs. Corolla blue, 22-27 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense or sparse, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 9-15 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 10-15 mm long, wings present on both sides, 3-3.5 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 9-10 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules one or two. Flowers in August, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF), Mallee (MAL) and Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province.
