Prostrate, much-branched shrub, 0.03-0.25 m high. Fl. blue-purple-pink, Mar or Sep to Oct. Grey clay, clay loam, sand.
Scientific Description
Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 8-40 mm long, 3-12 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, simple hairs; margins entire. Bracteoles present, 2.5-3.5 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel absent (flowers sessile). Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 3-3.5 mm long, hairy, with dense, simple hairs. Corolla blue or purple, 7-12 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with dense, simple hairs, hairy on the inside, with wings, 0.3-0.7 mm wide, wings present on both sides. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 3-5 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, hairy; ovules one or two. Flowers in March, April, May, June, July, August and September. Occurs in the Mallee (MAL) and Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province.
