Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 0.15-0.36 m high, blade 2-3-pinnate at the base, rachis with short hairs and sparse scales; sori coalescing. Fl. Mar to Apr. Sand. Steep rocky exposed hillsides or in rock and cliff crevices, often near water.
