Erect shrub, to 1.2 m high. Fl. white, Aug to Oct. Sand. Near flat granite or granite boulders.
Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets verrucose (warty), +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves alternate, simple, 4-5 mm long, 0.7-1 mm wide, terete, verrucose (warty), glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers terminal. solitary; pedicels 3-4 mm long; calyx present, 1-1.2 mm long, verrucose (warty), glabrous; corolla white or cream, petals five, 4-6 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, hairy on the margins only; stamens twice as many as petals, 3-3.5 mm long, smooth, ciliate (with a marginal fringe of hairs), with an appendage. Flowers in August, September and October. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Avon Wheatbelt IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority One (P1).
