Rounded shrub, 0.15-1 m high, leaves 4-10 mm long, petals glabrous. Fl. yellow, Jan or Mar or May or Jul to Dec. Sandy or clayey soils, limestone.
Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves alternate, simple, 3.5-5.5 mm long, 0.8-1 mm wide, flat, the margins revolute, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, with stellate (star shaped) hairs; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers; calyx present, 3 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped); corolla yellow, petals five, 4.5-5 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, 2-5 mm long, smooth, hairy; anthers 0.5 mm long, without an appendage; style 5-6 mm long, glabrous. Flowers in January, March, May, July, August, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the Eremaean and South-West Botanical Province, in the Coolgardie, Mallee and Esperance IBRA region(s).
