Shrub, to 0.6 m high, leaves 14-16 mm long, petals sparsely stellate-hairy. Fl. yellow. Clay-loam or loam.
Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves alternate, simple, 3-10 mm long, 1-2 mm wide, flat, the margins revolute, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, with stellate (star shaped) hairs; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers; calyx present, 1-2 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped); corolla yellow, petals five, 3.5-5 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, hairy on the surfaces; stamens twice as many as petals, 0.5 mm long, smooth, hairy; anthers 0.5 mm long, without an appendage. Flowers in June, July, August, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Mallee and Esperance IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority One (P1).
