Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s flora taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not currently being reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or the census. The project team is now conducting testing of the migrated data, and a further update will be provided by the end of the financial year (1 July). Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-2 m high; branchlets hairy, with straight hairs. Leaves alternate, 7-15 mm long, 0.8-1 mm wide, hairy; lamina terete, entire, straight or curved, scabrous, apex obtuse. Inflorescences not viscid, cream or yellow. Perianth 18-20 mm long, hairy, the limb apex hairy all over; pistil 20-23 mm long; pollen presenter fusiform, hairy, 5-6 mm long. Cone with persistent scales, 16-18 mm long. Flowers in August or September. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s).
