Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.30-1 m high; branchlets hairy, with straight hairs. Leaves alternate, 10-15 mm long, 1-1.3 mm wide, glabrous; lamina terete, entire, straight or curved, smooth, 0.4-0.6 mm long. Inflorescences not viscid, yellow. Perianth 16-20 mm long, hairy, the limb apex hairy all over; pistil 18-20 mm long; pollen presenter fusiform, hairy, 4-6 mm long. Cone with persistent scales, 15-20 mm long. Flowers in September, October, November or December. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Coolgardie (COO), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
