Erect, non-lignotuberous shrub, 0.3-1 m high. Fl. blue, Sep to Oct. Sand or loam over laterite. Sandplains, low hills.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 10-20 mm long, 0.5-1.5 mm wide, hairy; lamina terete, more or less the same width throughout, entire, incurved. Inflorescences leafy, the flowers dispersed singly, blue, hairy; floral bracts 1.5-3 mm long, hairy. Perianth 4-9 mm long, irregular, hairy; upper lip 3-4.6 mm long, hairy; lower lip 0.5-1.5 mm long, hairy. Nut 2-2.8 mm long. Flowers in September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Jarrah Forest (JF) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
