Tuberous, perennial, herb, 0.2-0.4 m high. Fl. white-yellow, Jul to Aug. Clay, granite, sand, peat. Seasonally-wet locations.
Scientific Description
Leaves flat, 80-115 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide; bristles or hairs on the leaf margin absent; hairs on the surface of the leaf absent (leaf surfaces glabrous). Scape present, hairy, 260-410 mm long. Inflorescence subtended by a bract 15-32 mm long, with several flowers; floral bracts 6-10 mm long; pedicels present, 1-3 mm long; flowers 10-15 mm long. Perianth hairy, radially symmetrical, uniformly coloured, white to cream or green, with six more or less equal tepals, the inner segments 4-6 mm long. Stamens six, in one level; filaments 1.5-3.5 mm long; anther 3-4 mm long, with an appendage. Style 2.5-3 mm long. Flowers in July or August. Occurs in the Swan Coastal Plain, Jarrah Forest and Warren IBRA bioregion(s), of the South-west Botanical Province.
