The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system and census were set to read-only mode on 1 October 2025. Taxonomic updates published since this time are not being reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or Western Australia’s taxonomic names census (Nomos). Conservation listings displayed on Florabase may also be out of date. Please refer to DBCA’s Threatened species and communities webpage for the most recent Threatened and Priority Flora List, noting that recent taxonomic updates are similarly not included. Erect, rounded to spreading shrub, 1-2 m high. Fl. yellow, Dec or Jan. Yellow sand or sandy loam.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-2 m high; branchlets hairy, not ribbed. Leaves opposite, 10-13 mm long, 7-10 mm wide, hairy; lamina flat, entire, scabrous, the margins flat; apex obtuse. Perianth 10-11 mm long, radially symmetrical, hairy, the hairs appressed; anther appendage absent; ovary glabrous; pistil 6-7 mm long. Flowers in January or December. Occurs in the in the Mallee (MAL) IBRA subregion(s).
