Erect compact, slender shrub, 0.35-1.2 m high, leaves narrowly oblong, 12-15 mm long, glossy; umbels ca 7-flowered; pedicels slender, ca 4 mm long. Fl. white/cream/yellow, Jun to Oct. Sandy or clayey soils, rocky gravel. Sand heath.
Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets verrucose (warty), +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves alternate, simple, 7-10 mm long, 1-2 mm wide, flat, the margins flat, verrucose (warty), covered in hairs or scales, with stellate (star shaped) hairs; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers in terminal umbels; pedicels 6-6.5 mm long; calyx present, 1.5-2 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales; corolla white or cream, petals five, 5-6 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, lepidote (with scales); stamens twice as many as petals, 5 mm long, smooth, glabrous; anthers 1.2-1.3 mm long, without an appendage; style 6-7 mm long, glabrous. Flowers in June, July, August, September and October. Occurs in the Eremaean and South-West Botanical Province, in the Murchison, Great Victoria Desert, Coolgardie, Avon Wheatbelt and Mallee IBRA region(s).
