Erect to spreading shrub, 0.2-0.6 m high. Fl. yellow, Aug to Dec. White, grey or yellow sand, laterite, gravelly clay. Sandplains, sand dunes.

Scientific Description

Shrubs. Leaves alternate, 40-100 mm long, hairy; petiole hairy; lamina flat, twice or more divided, pinnately divided, deeply divided, indumentum appressed; distance from base of leaf to lowest lobe 20-85 mm; terminal leaf lobe 7-20 mm long, 4-12 mm wide; lowest lobes 30-50 mm long. Inflorescences yellow; scape (20-)35-95 mm long; floral bracts 4-5 mm long. Perianth 7-9 mm long, hairy; adaxial tepal 8-9 mm long; abaxial tepal 6.2-8 mm long; ovary hairy, style glabrous; style including stigmatic disc 4.5-5 mm long, lobed; stigma 1-1.8 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide. Follicles 4-5 mm long. Flowers in August, September, October, November or December. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Coolgardie (COO), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
