Semi-prostrate, non-lignotuberous shrub, 0.2-0.9 m high. Fl. blue, Jul to Oct. Grey peaty sand. Low winter-wet areas.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.20-0.50 m high; branchlets glabrous. Leaves alternate, 30-130 mm long, 4-20 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle or more or less the same width throughout, entire, erect. Inflorescences leafy, the flowers aggregated into distinct clusters, the clusters stalked, pink or blue, hairy; floral bracts 2.5-5 mm long, hairy. Perianth 5-8 mm long, irregular, hairy; upper lip 2.5-5 mm long, glabrous; lower lip 2.5-3 mm long, glabrous. Nut 2-2.3 mm long. Flowers in July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Jarrah Forest (JF) or Warren (WAR) IBRA subregion(s).
