Erect, spreading shrub, 1-3.5 m high. Fl. yellow, Nov to Dec. Red sand, sandy loam, gravel. Red sand dunes, stony hillsides.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-3 m high; branchlets glabrous or hairy, ribbed. Leaves alternate, 35-110 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, glabrous; lamina terete, more or less the same width throughout, entire, smooth; apex pungent. Inflorescences yellow; pedicels 4-17 mm long, hairy. Perianth 14-15.5 mm long, radially symmetrical, hairy, the hairs appressed; anther appendage present, 0.6-0.7 mm long; ovary hairy or glabrous; pistil 11-12 mm long. Flowers in November or December. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Yalgoo (YAL), Geraldton Sandplains (GS) or Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA subregion(s).
