Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1-2 m high; branchlets hairy, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 15-30 mm long, 1-3 mm wide, hairy, on the abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle or more or less the same width throughout, entire; lobes 15-30 mm long, 1.5-5 mm wide, the margins revolute, exposing the lower surface of the leaf blade, forming a groove either side of the midvein. Inflorescences axillary or terminal, red; pedicels 3-4 mm long. Perianth 8-9 mm long; tepals some joined and some free after flower opens, glabrous; ovary glabrous, stipitate, the stipe 2-3 mm long; pistil 20-24 mm long, red, pollen presenter oblique, style glabrous. Follicles not viscid, dehiscent, 12-13 mm long. Flowers in September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) IBRA subregion(s).
