Scientific Description
Shrubs, 2-2.5 m high; branchlets hairy, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 15-45 mm long, glabrous; lamina flat, once divided, tripartitely divided, divided to the midrib; lobes 5-20 mm long, 0.5-1 mm wide, the margins revolute, enclosing the lower surface of the leaf blade, forming a groove either side of the midvein. Inflorescences terminal, red or brown; pedicels 1-2 mm long. Perianth 5-7 mm long; tepals some joined and some free after flower opens, hairy, simple-hairy; ovary hairy, sessile; pistil 18-25 mm long, orange or red, pollen presenter conical, style hairy. Follicles glandular hairy, not viscid, dehiscent, 10 mm long. Flowers in January, February, March, September, October, November or December. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
