Erect, compact shrub, to 1 m high. Fl. yellow, Dec or Jan to Feb. White or grey-white sand over limestone, brown sand or brown sandy clay over granite. Coastal foredunes, rock crevices in cliffs, base of cliffs, salt marshes.
