Erect, compact shrub, 0.1-0.8 m high, flowers 4-merous, cymes pedunculate, staminal filaments smooth. Fl. pink, Jul to Dec. Variety of soils.
Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped). Leaves opposite, simple, 5-15 mm long, 1-3 mm wide, flat, the margins recurved or revolute, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, with stellate (star shaped) hairs; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers in terminal, loose clusters (cymes or panicles); pedicels 4-15 mm long; calyx present, 2-3.5 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; corolla pink, petals four, 5-6.5 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, 2-2.2 mm long, warty with prominent raised glands, glabrous; anthers 0.8-1 mm long, with an appendage. Flowers in July, August, September, October, November and December. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Avon Wheatbelt, Jarrah Forest, Mallee, Esperance, Swan Coastal Plain and Geraldton IBRA region(s).
