Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s flora taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not currently being reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or the census. Due to the rapidly approaching holiday season and associated agency and facility soft closures, along with the substantial work involved in data mapping, cleaning, and verification, the migration to the new collection management software is not expected to occur before 1 March 2026, when a further update will be provided. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

The notice period started at 9:45 am on Friday, 12 December 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 2 March 2026 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Shrubs; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 90-220 mm long, glabrous; petiole glabrous; lamina flat, twice or more divided, pinnately divided or tripartitely divided, deeply divided; distance from base of leaf to lowest lobe 50-120 mm; terminal leaf lobe 8-25 mm long, 2-5 mm wide; lowest lobes 25-50 mm long. Inflorescences yellow; scape 195-305 mm long; floral bracts 1.3-1.5 mm long. Perianth 4.5-5 mm long, glabrous; adaxial tepal 4.5-5 mm long; abaxial tepal 3-3.5 mm long; ovary hairy, style glabrous; style including stigmatic disc 2-2.5 mm long, entire; stigma 0.7-1 mm long, 0.4-0.5 mm wide. Follicles 4.5-5 mm long. Flowers in July, August or September. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
