Straggly, non-lignotuberous shrub, 0.15-1 m high. Fl. blue, Jun to Nov. Sandy soils, stony clay.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.20-0.50 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 65-140 mm long, 8-18 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, entire, erect. Inflorescences without leaves, the flowers aggregated into distinct clusters, the clusters stalked, pink or blue, hairy; floral bracts 2.5-3.5 mm long, hairy. Perianth 5-8 mm long, irregular, hairy; upper lip 2.5-3.5 mm long, glabrous; lower lip 1.5-2.2 mm long, glabrous. Nut 2-2.3 mm long. Flowers in June, July, August, September, October or November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Jarrah Forest (JF) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
