Prostrate to straggly or erect, non-lignotuberous shrub, 0.15-1 m high. Fl. blue, Aug to Nov. Sandy soils. Swampy areas.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.20-1 m high; branchlets glabrous. Leaves alternate, 30-90 mm long, 2-4 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, more or less the same width throughout, entire, erect. Inflorescences leafy, the flowers aggregated into distinct clusters, the clusters stalked, pink or blue, hairy; floral bracts 3-4.5 mm long, hairy. Perianth 5-8 mm long, irregular, hairy; upper lip 3-5.2 mm long, glabrous; lower lip 1.5-3 mm long, glabrous. Nut 2-2.3 mm long. Flowers in August, September, October or November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) or Warren (WAR) IBRA subregion(s).
