Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1.8 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 30-100 mm long, 9-38 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, more or less the same width throughout, entire. Inflorescences axillary, cream or yellow. Perianth 10-14 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 34-37 mm long, style glabrous. Follicles 25-31 mm long, 16-21 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 18-21 mm long (including wing), 9-10 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending ± equally down both lateral sides. Flowers in July. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
