Tree or (mallee, rarely), to 40(-60) m high, bark rough, tessellated. Fl. white/pink, Dec or Jan to May. Red-brown clay loam, orange-brown sandy clay, gravel, grey sand over limestone, granite, laterite. Flats, hills, slopes, breakaways, wetlands, fringing salt marches, beside drainage lines.
