Shrub, 0.4-2 m high, leaves reflexed, 3-7 mm long. Fl. yellow/orange-brown, Apr to Sep. White or grey sand. Swampy flats.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 2-7 mm long, 0.6-1.2 mm wide, glabrous; petiole 0.2-0.4 mm long; lamina flat, widest around the middle, entire, the margins revolute. Inflorescences tomentose (with matted or tangled, soft, woolly hairs), yellow, orange or brown; innermost bracts 3-5 mm long, hairy. Perianth 6.5-9 mm long, glabrous, without awns; pistil 20-24 mm long, hooked, style glabrous. Follicles hairy, tomentose (with matted or tangled, soft, woolly hairs), elliptic, 12-22 mm long. Flowers in April, May, June, July, August or September. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
