Tussock-forming, odorous perennial, grass-like or herb, 0.3-1.6 m high, foliage resinous, panicle elongated, usually narrow, lemma yellowish. Fl. Jan to Feb or Apr or Jul to Sep. Clayey loam, sand, sandy loam. Near salt pans & lakes, seasonal swamps, soaks & depressions.
