Herb, 0.1-0.4 m high. Fl. blue-purple, Jan to Feb. Sandy soils. Seasonally wet flats, swampy areas, granite outcrops.
Scientific Description
Stems ribbed. Leaves compressed, 60-90 mm long, 0.5-1 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel absent (flowers sessile). Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 2-5 mm long, glabrous. Corolla blue, 9-11 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, glabrous on the outside, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 2-3 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 3.5-5 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.1-0.2 mm wide on the narrower side, 1-1.2 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers connate. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 3-6 mm long, glabrous; indusium single, glabrous; ovules more than two. Flowers in January and February. Occurs in the Jarrah Forest (JF) and Warren (WAR) IBRA Region(s), of the South West (SW) Botanical Province.
