Shrub, to 1 m high, leaves narrowly fusiform, ca 4 mm long; flowers solitary, axillary; staminal filaments ciliate. Fl. white, Aug. Yellow sandy clay. Acacia acuminata scrub.
Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves opposite, simple, 3-6 mm long, 0.5-1 mm wide, flat, the margins revolute, verrucose (warty), glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers axillary, solitary; pedicels 2-2.5 mm long; calyx present, 2 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; corolla white or cream, petals five, 4.5-5 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, 1.8-2.2 mm long, smooth, ciliate (with a marginal fringe of hairs); anthers 0.7 mm long, with an appendage. Flowers in August. Occurs in the Eremaean and South-West Botanical Province, in the Yalgoo and Geraldton IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Priority Two (P2).
