Shrub, 0.1 m high. Fl. white/pink, Mar. Valley slope of ironstone plateau.
Scientific Description
Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, alternate, not continuous with stem, 7-20 mm long, 1-2.5 mm wide, hairy, with simple or gland-tipped hairs, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present and persistent to older leaves. Pedicel present, 2-4 mm long, hairy. Bracteoles present and persistent, 2.2 mm long, hairy, not striate. Calyx 4.5-6 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs or with glandular hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 8-8.5 mm long, multicoloured, mostly pink or white, with some pink or white spots, streaks or blotches; claws absent; standard 6-6.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 6.5-7 mm long, not auriculate, keel 6.5-7 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten; anthers 0.5-0.7 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments free (or united at the very base), 4.5-5 mm long. Ovary sessile or subsessile, hairy or glandular; style 4.6-6 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 15-18 mm long, 3-5 mm wide, sessile or subsessile, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, hairy, with simple hairs, not beaked. Flowers in March. Occurs in the Eremaean Botanical Province, in the Pilbara and Tanami IBRA regions. Conservation Code Priority Two (P2).
