Shrub, 1 m high, plant pilose, leaves 0.7-3 cm long. Fl. pink/purple, Sep to Nov. Sand, red clayey loam, sometimes disturbed soils. Swampy ground, salt marshes, flood plains, near river banks, cattle grounds.
