Open shrub or tree, 1-3 m high. Fl. white, Aug to Oct. Lateritic red loam, grey sandy clay over sandstone. Low eucalypt forest or heath, near creeks, breakaway slopes.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-1.5(-3) m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, (15-)25-48(-50) mm long, (5-)6-11(-20) mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, widest around the middle or clearly widest above the middle, once divided, pinnately divided, shallowly divided. Inflorescences axillary, cream or yellow; pedicels 4.5-5.5 mm long. Perianth 3-5 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 5-8 mm long, pollen presenter conical, style glabrous. Follicles 15-22 mm long, 12-16 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 11-12 mm long (including wing), (6-)8 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending down one lateral side only. Flowers in August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Jarrah Forest (JF), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
