Erect or leaning annual, herb, 0.06-0.3 m high, anthers longer than the filaments, sepals bearing glandular setae 0.7-1.5 mm long. Fl. purple, Jan to May. Red or yellow sand, clayey sand, lateritic or rocky soil. Creek banks, sandstone outcrops, woodland.
