Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s flora taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not currently being reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or the census. The project team is now conducting testing of the migrated data, and a further update will be provided by the end of the financial year (1 July). Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

The notice period started at 9:45 am on Friday, 12 December 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, 1 July 2026 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.70-3 m high. Leaves alternate, 6-15 mm long, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, once divided, tripartitely divided or divided only at the apex, shallowly divided or deeply divided, with glands at the leaf (or leaf lobe) apex. Inflorescences red or pink; innermost bracts 5-6 mm long; peduncles 3-4 mm long. Perianth 19-23 mm long, hairy; ovary hairy; pistil 25-29 mm long, pollen presenter erect, style glabrous. Flowers in March, July, August, September, October, November or December. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Mallee (MAL) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
