Tussocky perennial, grass-like or herb, 0.1-0.5 m high, panicle reduced, raceme-like, sparse, simple, lemma with recurved and twisted lobes. Fl. Feb to Mar. Skeletal soils. Exposed lower hillslopes or scree slopes.
