Tussock-forming resinonus perennial, grass-like or herb, 0.5-1.5 m high, lemma bi-textured, glabrous, with transverse demarcation, spikelet terete. Fl. cream-brown, Jan to Apr. Sandy soils. River levees, pindan plains, rocky hillslopes & outcrops.
