Non-lignotuberous shrub, to 2 m high. Fl. pink & cream/yellow, Feb to Mar. Sand over laterite.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1-2 m high; branchlets glabrous or hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 50-100 mm long, 20-25 mm wide, hairy; petiole 15-25 mm long; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, once divided, pinnately divided, shallowly divided, teeth pointing outwards, with 5-7 lobes on each side, the margins flat. Inflorescences tomentose (with matted or tangled, soft, woolly hairs), cream, yellow or red, hairy. Perianth 35-40 mm long, glabrous, without awns; pistil 38-42 mm long, straight, style glabrous. Follicles hairy, tomentose (with matted or tangled, soft, woolly hairs), elliptic, 30-45 mm long. Flowers in February or March. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
