Shrub, 0.3-1 m high, well-spaced slender leaves, resinous sepals and branchlets. Fl. red/white/pink, Apr to May or Aug or Oct. Granitic loam, skeletal sandy loam.
Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves alternate, simple, 10-25 mm long, 0.8-1 mm wide, terete, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers terminal. solitary; calyx present, 6-8 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; corolla pink or white or cream, petals five, connate, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, 17-19 mm long, smooth, hairy; anthers 4 mm long, without an appendage; style 22 mm long, hairy. Flowers in April, May and August. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Mallee IBRA region(s). Conservation Code: Threatened (T).
